ReplyDeleteThis is such a beautiful song!! And I agree with the other person. It does remind me of the Beatles. But that's a good thing. The Beatles are amazing. However... sigh... I like Green Day more. (: Its such a pretty song, and its unlike the others Green Day has released in the past, which makes it even better. It shows you that Green Day can play rock AND this type of song. They are geniuses. And its so pretty.....

ReplyDeleteUnfortunately, in order to sell more, one or two ballads are needed, as they actually are usually very popular and rather easy to write. They're almost always the band's weakpoint, though, I must say.

ReplyDeleteThis is my FAVORITE song off 21st Century Breakdown! ZOMG it's sooo beautiful and it reminds me so much of The Beatles. So gorgeous, tears come to my eyes listening to it. Definitely a BEAUTIFUL, AMAZING song. I sing it to my horse all the time <3 And my boyfriend, but mostly my horsse :)

We actually had this as our first dance at our wedding (May 23rd) exactly 8 days after the album came out. To top it off, Billie played it live for us on request (we let him know it was our wedding song). Pretty cool, huh?
